PIT elements can of course also be designed as a tension spring, with forces up to 5,000kN. Accordingly you will have a longer overall dimension of the element.

For example: a given PIT compression spring with a preload of 5,000daN, a blockload of 8,000daN and an excursion of 200mm will have an overall length of approx. 300mm. This element designed with the same parameters as a tension spring, will have a length of approx. 650mm.
