Company Profile

For more than 25 years we have been designing and developping heavy duty springs and shock absorbers on the basis of a compressible liquid.

Initially the idea was to find an alternative to the conventional heavy duty tensioning devices found on big crawler tracks, such as nitrogen or hydraulic track tensioners. Due to their compact size, PIT Track Tensioners are now found on numerous types of chain driven vehicles.

Over the years the Liquid Spring Technology has more and more found its place in many other industrial sectors. As opposed to conventional compression springs, which develop their force through torsional strain, the PIT tensioning units use the properties of a highly compressible liquid. The same principle applies to the

PIT dampening units ( shock absorbers).

Here again the physical properties of the compressible liquid allow a very precise rate of deceleration. It is even possible to combine a spring and a damper, all in one element.

One of the main advantages of this system is the compact size of the elements while keeping the high forces required. The combination of force and size leaves no room for compromizes. This makes us OEM supplier to numerous industrial manufacturers around the world.

Should you have problems in finding on the market the type of spring (or shock absorber) ideal for you, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be happy if we could help.
